I highly recommend to everyone to stay at Malapascua Budget Inn. I spent 2 weeks in this hostel coming back home with plenty of amazing memories. The conditions are good, beds are really comfortable, dorms with air conditioner and the guy working there cleans the rooms every day. Also, you can use the kitchen and the fridge. What is special about this hostel is the way JR, the owner, who is a very kind person and Jojo who is always there to help treats their guests. They make you feel like in a big family which is always nice when you are far away from home. JR has many cool ideas about how to make the guests feeling good while staying in his hostel. He organized a welcoming party with spring rolls which were a hit, everyone liked it and free rum coke for everyone. Every night they have a movie night with free popcorn as well. We had a pajama party in one of the nights and he offered a prize for creative costumes, that was so nice. Another amazing experience was the cruise around the island organized by JR where everyone had so much fun. We enjoyed the sunset while eating delicious food cooked by locals especially for us, drinking rum coke and listening to music. That was a cool party! You will not regret choosing this hostel.

A really nice place. I stayed 5 nights. JR the owner is very helpful and organizes a lot of activities. Loved my stay there and will definitely come back. We had a party cruise organized by the hostel which was great fun!

Came here with my extended family not really expecting much but JR and staff made our stay simply awesome. He organized boat trips for my family; even cooked us fresh tuna soup which was absolutely amazing. The highlight was the Saturday afternoon boat cruise with rum and coke, fried chicken, popcorn and the tastiest spring rolls. This morphed into more rum and coke back at the hostel; and of course, karaoke with the rest of the cool gang travelers from around the world. Will definitely come back!!!

This place is great for any budget traveler who wants a basic hostel with a very social atmosphere! The owner JR goes out of his way to make you feel welcome and really helps to create an environment that brings all the guests together. From movie nights with unlimited popcorn to party boat cruises around the island, he really takes it to the next level. All the staff is friendly and helpful! As a solo traveler, this place was perfect for meeting lots of great people!

I spent 2 nights in Malapascua and I couldn't have found a better place. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. There is a great reception space with very friendly and helpful staff (the 2nd hammock is the best one!). And on top of that, it's extremely safe, there is 24/7 CCTV and lockers which allow keeping valuables. I left my passport at the reception and I trusted them completely. The funny part is that when I left I forgot my shoes there and by sending a message and coordinating with the staff I got them back within a week. Incredible service and value for the price! Highly recommended!

The place was so nice! It's cheaper than another inn. Good for families and your friends. The staff are very hospitable and has a good service. There's a lot of foreigners here. They also serve delicious foods.

A special thanks to Jojo and Richard, who made me feel like I was at home for the 2 weeks I stayed there, not only thanks to the great food I got to try! They were really involved in making the hostel a welcoming and sociable place, organizing movie, dinner or karaoke nights. The bathrooms were cleaned every day and the bedsheets were nice and clean as well. All in all, I had a great stay, it’s definitely a good value for money!

I had a good stay at the Malapascua Budget Inn. It's a good spot to meet new people for solo travellers. The staff was really friendly and interested. The hostel is close to a little market where you can eat for cheap (I had the best Filipino food there since travelling through Philippines). Would definitely come back to this place if I'm going back to Malapascua.
